Arrangements have been completed for the annual United Orphans’ Day outing next Monday at Long Beach, David F. Soden, transfer tax appraiser, announced yesterday.
Invitations also have been extended to 2,000 orphans in the Pride of Judea Children’s Home, the Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum and the Kallman Home for Children.
Postmaster General James A. Farley will be the host, it was stated. Mayor Charles Gold, Chief of Police Philip Kohut, Corporation Counsel Jerome M. Hirsh and Michael Berlin, all of Long Beach, will help to make the picnic a success.
