A comprehensive program of assistance for Jewish displaced persons reaching the United States in 19.49 will be formulated by American Jewish leaders from all sections of the country at the second annual conference of United Service for New Americans which will be held at the Biltmore Hotel here on January 8 and 9, 19.49, it was announced today by Edwin Rosenberg, president of U.S.N.A.
Among the speakers will be former Governor Herbert H. Lehman; William Rosenwald, honorary president of United Service and a national chairman of the United Jewish Appeal; Henry Morgenthau, Jr., general chairman of the U.J.A.; Mrs. Joseph M. Welt, president of the National Council of Jewish Women; Mrs. Irving M. Engel, chairman of the board of United Service, and Mr. Rosenberg.
