A special Friday night service for Boy Scouts, in connection with the twenty-fifth anniversary of scouting in the United States, has been arranged for February 8 in Conservative congregations throughout the country by the United Synagogue of America.
The announcement of the service was issued by Rabbi Louis J. Haas, of Stamford, Conn., vice-president of the National Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs of the United Synagogue, through the New York headquarters.
The federation, with the Young People’s League of the United Synagogue, has formed a joint committee on scouting, of which Jesse Finkle of New York is chairman of educational work. Dr. Ray O. Wyland, director of education and relationships of the Boy Scouts of America, is cooperating with the United Synagogue.
