The University-Institute-Technion Fund was today granted formal authorization by the Jewish Agency’s Committee on Control and Authorization of Campaigns to raise funds in the United States during 1950 in behalf of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Haifa Technion.
The authorization granted the new combined Fund was given on the same general terms granted ten other agencies now campaigning in the United States for Israel causes, a spokesman for the Agency explained. The terms are designed to safeguard the priority of the United Jewish Appeal as the principal fund-raising agency here for the upbuilding of the Jewish state.
