Full-scale operations in Latin America on bohalf of Israel’s three great institutions of higher learning, scientific research and technology were decided upon at a meeting here by representatives of the American Committee for the Hebrew University, Weizmann Institute of Sciehce, and the Haifa Technion, it was announced today.
Plans include the formation of University-Institute-Technion committees throughout Central and South America and the calling of a conference at which Latin America’s Jewish community leaders will decide on the means and techniques best suited to enlisting support for the U.I.T., Meyer W. Weisgal, director of the joint campaign for the three institutions, said.
