Unless Jews organized an effective relief, a helpless situation would be created for Jewry throughout the world, Mount Vernon workers for the $15,000 United Jewish Appeal drive were warned tonight by Douglas Booth, noted lecturer, traveler, writer and international affairs expert of the Carnegie Endowment Institute.

“The American Jews,” he said, “must lend a hand to German Jews, who cannot depend on anybody else. The Hitler regime is making scapegoats of the Jews in Germany thinking to wipe them out.”
