A hitherto unpublished article by the father of modern Hebrew, Eliezer ben Yehuda, on the revival of the Hebrew language appears in the first issue of “Hatzioni Haklali” — The General Zionist — just published in Jerusalem. The article was written by him during his stay in New York at the time of the War, and expresses his confidence in the full revival of Hebrew.
Hatzioni Haklali which is devoted to the interests of the General Zionists, also includes in its first issue articles and letters of greeting from N. Sokolow, President of the Zionist Organization; M. Ussishkin, head of the Jewish National Fund, and Emanuel Neumann, member of the Palestine Zionist Executive.
