The UNRRA mission in Italy has started to reduce its staff in anticipation of the agency’s liquidation on June 30. Only a few hundred of the 1,200 welfare workers will be retained after this month. In an attempt to streng then DP self-government, UNRRA is operating a school here where potential refugee administrators are taught the principles of welfare and psychological work.
