The Upper House of the German Parliament voted today to extend the deadline for filing individual claims for restitution by victims of the Nazis. The new deadline is March 31, 1959; the former cut-off date was December 31, 1958.
The Lower House passed the measure last week. Upon its publication in the Bonn Government’s Official Gazette, the measure will become law.
