With the Christmas season approaching, Jewish firms in Germany were urged today by the Central Union of German Citizens of Jewish Faith, the leading Jewish organization of Germany, not to decorate their windows with Christmas symbols in connection with the approaching holiday season.
In a communique issued today by the Central Verein, it is emphasized that the order recently issued by Dr. Schacht, economic dictator of Germany, not to interfere with Jewish stores during the Christmas season, is fully observed throughout the entire country. The communique however appeals, at the same time, to the Jews to display tact when decorating their windows with Christmas decorations in order not to provoke any undesirable incidents.
