The Jewish Historical Society issued an appeal to the Jewish public today to celebrate the week of Chanukah (the Feast of Lights), which begins December 21, as a jubilee week, since this year’s observance marks the 2,100th anniversary of the rebuilding of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
