The demand that the Hungarian government introduce a numerus clausus against Jewish attorneys, limiting the number of Jewish lawyers at the Hungarian bar, was submitted to the government in a memorandum signed by 600 Hungarian lawyers.
The memorandum was submitted by a deputation of lawyers to the Minister of Justice, urging him to take steps to introduce the necessary legislation in parliament. The government was initiated and is being headed by former minister Doemoetoer.
