The Agudath Harabonim, union of orthodox rabbis, today issued a manifesto declaring that it is the duty of every Jew who is eligible to vote to participate in the national elections to the Sejm. The elections are scheduled to take place September 8.
The Socialist Zionists, the Jewish Socialists and Group “A” of the General Zionists have decided not to participate in the elections. However, General Zionists Group “B”, the Mizrachi (orthodox Zionists) and the Agudath Israel (extreme orthodox group) have announced they will participate.
