An appeal to all religious groups in Hungary to stimulate the peaceful communal life of the country as being in the interests of all citizens was issued today in the press by Minister of Cults Petri. He declared that the collaboration of the religious communities, now that the wave of revolution has passed, is necessary for a common patriotic effort.
In political circles the appeal is believed intended to influence public opinion abroad in connection with Chancellor Bethlen’s trip to London in the interests of a Hungarian loan.
