An appeal for the settlement on land of unemployed Jewish immigrants in France was made by the Chief Rabbi of Metz in a communication addressed to a meeting of the Jewish Youth Goodwill Society here.

The Chief Rabbi proposed the creation of a special fund to assist the Jews to settle on the land in France. He urged that this activity can be under-taken without prejudicing in any way Palestine endeavors.
