A study of Jewish history throughout the ages brings a calming balance to the minds of the panicky, especially when wars are threatened or a business depression lasts a long time, Leo W. Schwartz said address at the concluding session of the forum held during the thirteenth annual convention of the New York State Conference of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Schwartz, who is director of the New School for Jewish Education, declared that history changes on the surface from age to age, but the groundwork remains the same.

Mrs. Seligman, of New York City, who is vice-president of the Conference, acted as forum chairman today. Panel discussion leaders included Mrs. A. D. Lurie, of Amsterdam; Mrs. Benjamin Spitzer, of Brooklyn; Mrs. Morris Greyfuss, of Elmira; Miss Sarah Schottenfels, of New York; Mrs. Hermine Weiss, of North Shore, and Mrs. Jessie Bienenfeld, of Syracuse.

A resolution was adopted today by delegates to discontinue the board of directors at the next conference. As a result of this resolve, no further elections were held.

Tonight the Sisterhood of Concord and Temple Adath Yeshurun members will be hostesses to Conference delegates and alternates at a buffet supper, to be held in the Temple Society of Concord.

The next State conference will be held in 1936. Next year will be skipped because a national conference is slated in 1935 in New Orleans, on March 10.
