The suggestion that a Christian reserve fund be raised for the purpose of purchasing ground on the Mount of Olives and Mount Scopus is made by the anti-Semitic “Morning Post” today.
In a letter to the editor, the suggestion is made that this action is necessary in view of the danger that the erection of the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus may cause an increasing demand for houses on the sacred soil and the Mount of Olives will become a mere suburb of Jerusalem.
“The Christian people of the world should purchase the entire mountain to prevent such a possibility,” the paper states.
