Uri Raanan, for the last two years Israel Conail in New York, and veteran Israeli journalist was today appointed press officer for the Israel delegation here. He succeeds Michael Elizur, who has been reassigned to new duties as coordinator of Israel’s large delegation to this year’s General Assembly.
Mr. Raanan had formerly been political correspondent for Haaretz in Israel. In addition to Mr. Raanan, the Israel delegation’s press services here, during the next two weeks, will be aided by the press counselor of Israel’s Washington Embassy, Michael Arnon.
