The Chamber of Deputies today enacted a bill dissolving all parties which take instructions from foreign countries and for-bidding dissemination of propaganda of an inciting character.
The measure applies specifically to political or social groups directed by foreigners or foreign powers and those using the insignia, uniforms or symbols of foreign parties.
Aimed at checking development of fifth column activities, which have been the subject of a congressional investigation, the measure is directed against Nazi, Fascist and Falangist associations. It will eventually be applied as well to the Communist Party if the latter is proved to be directed from abroad.
Earlier, dissolution of the Nazi Labor Front in Uruguay was announced by Germen Minister Otto Langemann in a statement to Foreign Minister Alberto Guant. Langemann informed Guani that Julius Daldorf, so-called Nazi Gauleiter (district leader) for Uruguay and head of the Front, has turned over all records and property of the organization to the German Legation.
