Foreign Minister Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez Larreta has promised to instruct the Uruguayan delegation to the United Nations General Assembly to support transfer of Palestine to a United Nations trusteeship and to press for unrestricted Jewish immigration.
Dr. Larreta made this pledge to a delegation of the Uruguayan Pro-Palestine Committee, which submitted a memorandum asking the government to implement its expressed support of Jewish aspirations in Palestine by having its representatives at the U.N. urge action on Zionist demands.
