Following a long illness, V. Sidney Rothschild, financier and former trustee of the United Hebrew Charities, died Sunday in Mount Sinai Hospital. He was born in New York in 1870 and was graduated from Harvard Hospital. He was born in New York in 1870 and was graduated from Harvard University in 1891. Mr. Rothschild was much interested in French literature and was the author of a number of monographs on Montaigne and his contemporaries. Mr. Rothschild was always a supporter of public benefactions and for a time served as a trustee of the United Hebrew Charities.
