As a result of continued attacks and affronts, all the Jewish papers in Palestine today severely criticized the government for its failure to protect the Jews. Demanding that adequate measures be taken to suppress the Arab attacks, the papers declared that in the face of repeated attacks and provocations the Jews have behaved peacefully, but they must warn the government that if the attacks are continued the Jews will have to take measures to protect themselves.
The protest of the press follows the interview Pincus Rutenberg, head of the Vaad Leumi, Palestine National Council, had with Sir John Chancellor. After requesting stronger protective measures, Mr. Rutenberg informed the High Commissioner the Jews would be forced to undertake self-defense measures if the government failed to act.

Further excitement among the Jewish population was created by the news that the two Jewish physicians, Drs. Kagen and Salzberger, had received letters threatening them with attacks similar to the one on Dr. Ticho. A great lime cross which yesterday appeared on the Wailing Wall was scoured off by the Jews but in the afternoon it reappeared. Refugees who had returned to Beisan have again left because their shops have been boycotted and many of them beaten up.
