The Vaad Leumi, the Jewish National Council for Palestine, today submitted a memorandum to the Palestine government requesting an increase in the educational and health grants made by the government.
The government subsidy for the Jewish public health services for the year ending Sept. 30, 1933, was 2,500 pounds (Palestine), or 2.6 percent of the total budget of the Jewish community for this work. The public school system subsidy amounted to 19,175 pounds (Palestine) of a total budget of 101,899 pounds.
