The State Department has announced that Secretary of State Cyrus Vance would meet in Vienna with Chancellor Bruno Kreisky on Sept. 6 and with Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko in Vienna on Sept. 7-8.
The Department said the principal topic of talks between Vance and Gromyko would be SALT negotiations but that the Middle East would be touched on. The Department spokesman declined to say what Vance and Kreisky would discuss. However, Kreisky has long been an advocate of the Palestine Liberation Organization participation in any reconvened Geneva Mideast peace conference.
