Police authorities assured the Jewish community today they are trying to apprehend persons who desecrated a synagogue here last Friday night. Worshipers who came to the synagogue Saturday morning found the Ark damaged and various religious appurtenances violated. The hooligans had apparently gained entrance by forcing a window.
