Vandals toppled 39 gravestones at the Auschwitz Jewish Cemetery, including the stone of the last Jewish resident of the Polish town, Szymon Kluger, who died last year. Several stones reportedly were destroyed, and the cemetery’s walls were defaced with anti-Semitic slogans, swastikas and an image of a gallows with a Star of David hanging from it.
