A group of vandals broke into the Betar club in the Jewish quarter of the city this week-end and burned bocks, pamphlets and furniture. The Betar group is a Revisionist organisations.
At the same time flaming paraffin-soaked rags were thrown into the outhouse of a Jewish cafe here, but the police were able to keep the blaze from spreading to the nearby kitchen where drums of gasoline were stored. On Friday evening a bomb was thrown into another Jewish cafe, slightly damaging the interior. This is the fourth such incident in recent weeks. Both restaurants had previously received anonymous letters warning them not to desecrate the Sabbath.
