Thousands of Jews attended the funeral of Hillel Zlatopolsky in Paris this afternoon. Jewish organizations in the city, Zionist as well as Communal, were represented. Orations were delivered by Rabbi Julie Weil, Rabbi Eisenstadt, and Victor Jacobson on behalf of the Zionist Executive. Isaac Naiditch, for many years a colleague of the deceased and co-author with him of the Keren Hayesod school, represented that institution.
Hebrew literature of which Zlatopolsky was an unremitting patron was represented by Zalmen Schneur, the Hebrew poet, who is by some regarded as the equal of Bialik. Funeral addresses were also delivered by Schneur and Vladimir Jabotinsky.
