Radio-Vatican, the Holy See’s station, tonight broadcast a talk on “political Catholicism” which formally disavowed the attitude of the Austrian Catholic bishops who urged their faithful to support the Nazi plebiscite on April 10. Earlier, the decision of the Austrian Catholic Espicopacy was declared by the Osservatore Romano, Vatican organ, to have been taken without the prior or subsequent approval of the Vatican.
