Negotiations were scheduled to start today between a special representative of the Vatican, Msgr. Thomas J. MacMahon, and the Israeli Ministry for Religious affairs with regard to damages incurred by a few churches during the war.
It is understood that after completing the negotiations on the restoration of damaged church property, Msgr. MacMahon will confer with the Israeli Foreign Ministry in Tel Aviv on the problem of refugees who wish to return to Israel.
