Julian B. Venezky has accepted the chairmanship of the National Committee of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, it was announced today by Rabbi Philip S. Bernstein, chairman of the Public Affairs Committee.
Mr. Venezky, an attorney, also serves as national chairman for Regions of the State of Israel Bond Organization. He was the first national chairman of the United Jewish Appeal Cabinet and first national chairman of the executive committee of State of Israel Bonds.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, with headquarters in Washington, conducts public action, bearing upon relations with governmental authorities, with a view to maintaining and improving friendship and good will between the United States and Israel. Its national committee, composed of community leaders from all over the country, will be expanded under Mr. Venezky’s direction. I.L. Kenen, is executive director of the organization.
