Venezuela withdrew its ambassador to Israel to protest the war against Hezbollah. “We have ordered the withdrawal of our ambassador in Israel,” President Hugo Chavez said in a televised speech Aug. 3, calling Israeli retaliation against Hezbollah “genocide,” The Associated Press reported.
