The Vermont Labor Council, AFL-CIC, meeting here in annual convention, today adopted unanimously a series of resolutions which gave strong support to efforts to get the FBI into the investigation of Southern bombings of Jewish Community Centers and synagogues.
The action of the convention followed an address by Julius Bernstein of Boston, regional director of the Jewish Labor Committee. Mr. Bernstein pointed out the fact that Southern segregationist inevitably give rise to racist elements that turn to anti-Semitism and to anti-labor activities. The delegates voted to ask the U.S. Attorney General to enter the investigation of the Southern bombings despite his refusal to do so.
