The Attorney General of Vermont, Clifton G. Parkor, this week-end handed down a legal opinion denying the use of absentee ballots to Jews during the primaries which occur on September 12. Mr. Parker’s decision was made in view of requests by Jewish leaders for use of absentee ballots by Jews who will not go to the polls that day, the first day of Rosh Hashanah.
