A conference of Jewish veterans of the Polish war for independence today demanded equal citizenship rights for all Jewish nationals while Poland celebrated its national festival.
During the nation-wide celebrations, in which representatives of Jewish organizations participated, Nationalists attacked Jews and broke shop-windows in various places. In some cities Jews were compelled to leave cafes and several were slightly injured.
The two-day conference of the Union of Jewish War Veterans discussed the recent statement of the Fascist-inclined government party, the Camp for National Unity, barring Jews as members. A statement issued after the parley stressed that in these troubled times there should be no disagreement among Polish groups.
