The fortieth annual national memorial services of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States will be held at 11 a. m. today (Sunday), at Temple Emanu-El.
The principal speaker will be Congressman Emanuel Celler, and his address will be broadcast nationally from 11:30 to noon.
Other speakers will be William Berman of Boston, commander-in-chief of the Jewish War Veterans; Bernard S. Deutsch, president of the Board of Aldermen; Dr. Solomon A. Fineberg, national chaplain-in-chief; Milton Solomon, national patriotic instructor, and Albert Morgan, Grand Marshal of the Grand Army of the Republic.
Music will be furnished by the temple’s choir, organist and cantor.
Veteran organizations, including the Gold Star Mothers, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Spanish-American Veterans, Legion of Judea, Palestine Legion, British, French, Polish, Italian and Belgian veterans and others will participate.
Details for the services have been arranged by a committee headed by Dr. Solomon A. Finberg of Sinai Temple, Mt. Vernon.
