Viadimir Sverdlin, a Leningrad activist, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possessing a gun, it was reported by the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry. If convicted, he faces a prison term of 2-5 years, Sverdlin, a 35-year-old construction engineer, first applied for an emigration visa in 1974.
