Victor Chenkin, Russian Jewish baritone, will make his first New York appearance of the season Sunday evening. November 3, at the Times Square Theatre. It will be the first of eight appearances he is to make here this season.
M. Chenkin, known as a singing actor, will render Russian, German. Italian and French folk songs, some Spanish and gypsy numbers, as well as two groups of Jewish songs, folk and mystic.
Reorganization of the Board of Jewish Education of Baltimore, Md. was announced by Walter Sondheim, president of the Associared Jewish Charities.
The new officers of the board are Judge Philip L. Sykes, president, Leslie W. Moses, first vice-president: Joseph Berman second vice-president, and Ephraim Macht, treasurer.
For months a special committee has been studying ways and means of coordinating educational activities within the Associated Jewish Charities, and has developed a plan to further Jewish education along broad communal lines rather than from the point of view of particular neighborhood.
