The National Council of Jewish Women has set in motion a Victory Harvest Program which will be operated to a large extent through the seventy-five camps subsidized or run by the Council sections, it was announced here today.
About 350 Senior and Junior Sections throughout the country have been called upon by the national organizations to initiate or implement programs of conversion of their subsidized summer camps to crop production – utilizing land and aid of the children in the camps and of Council members and their families. A call to members of Junior sections and to Conciliates (girls 14 to 18) to spend their summer vacations on farms, engaging in productive labor has also been issued by the National Council.
