An out-of-uniform Israeli soldier fired gunshots in the air during the evacuation of a disputed building in Hebron, a video shows.
The Israeli news service Ynet reported Tuesday that it obtained a video showing Cpl. Nahum Ben-Yaakov, a resident of the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, firing his army-issue gun during the evacuation of the Peace House. Ben-Yaakov was wearing civilian clothing.
Ben-Yaakov was arrested and held over until Thursday. The military also plans to file an indictment against the soldier, Ynet reported.
A Palestinian cameraman documenting the incident for the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem shot the video.
