An anti-religious campaign in connection with the High Holiday season was undertaken by the Vienna atheist league, affiliated with the Social Democratic party.
The league circulated a large number of leaflets in Vienna’s Jewish quarter. The leaflets, written in Yiddish, mock Jewish religious observances and the Jewish mode of life and urge the Jewish masses to leave the Jewish religious community.
