A memorial service for the late President John F. Kennedy was held in Vienna’s main synagogue today in the presence of Austrian Chancellor Alfons Gorbach, Cabinet ministers, members of the diplomatic corps and leading personalities in public life.
Among those taking part in the service were Justice Minister Christian Broda, State Secretary Ludwig Steiner, Israel Ambassador Simon and representatives of all religious communities. Austrian Chief Rabbi Akiba Eisenberg delivered the sermon in memory of president Kennedy.
