An appeal for an extension of the statute of limitations on Nazi crimes committed during Nazi control of Austria was urged by the Vienna Jewish community today in a letter to Justice Minister Christian Broda.
The community asked that the statute be extended on an unlimited basis or at least for another 20 years to permit prosecution of Nazi crimes detected immediately before or after the present expiration date which was fixed last year at June 25, 1965.
