Jews in Vienna are finding it almost impossible to secure living quarters under the anti-Jewish regulations now in force there, according to reports appearing in German papers reaching here today.
Jews are entitled to a maximum living space of five square meters, about six square yards, per person. They can rent rooms in only four districts of the city. Their tenancy is dependent on the condition that no “Aryan” wants the room. If he does, the Jews must make way. Only war veterans wounded in World War I are entitled to have a room for the exclusive use of their family.
