A letter thanking Gen. Mark Clark, U.S. member of the Allied Control Commission for Austria, for his interest in Jewish matters was sent today by the Jewish Community Council of Vienna.
The Jewish community, which is fighting for the restitution of the rights and properties seized from Jews by the Nazis, appreciates Gen. Clark’s “unparallsled kindness” and “his judicious insight and respect for human rights and dignity, the letter said.
