Forty leading Jewish bankers and prominent personages in Austria were the guests of the British Embassy here at a dinner, at which the upbuilding of Palestine was discussed. Among those specially invited by the Embassy were Louis Rothschild, Alphons Gutmann and Herr Efrussi.
The Ambassador, Viscount Chilston, Colonel Wedgwood and Chief Rabbi Dr. Chajes appealed for the participation of the group in the upbuilding of Palestine.
The ambassadors of France and Italy were also present. Following the meeting in the Embassy, Viscount Chilston was presented with a diploma of the inscription of his name in the Golden Book of the Jewish National Fund.
