The text of Marshal Hermann Goering’s decree for registration of Jewish property, published in the entire Vienna press today, makes clear that henceforth the Jews of the Reich must live in a financial glass house in which the extent of their earnings and property will not only be constantly visible to the authorities, but available whenever required. Several papers comment that at least the Government is in a position to prevent smuggling of property by emigrating Jews.
