A Vienna University professor, who admitted he had been a member of the SS, the Nazi elite units, but claimed he quit the Nazi party in 1943, told one of his classes today that he thought it was time that every former Nazi should admit his past. The 150 students applauded him.
Taras Borodajkewicz, Professor of International Trade, made the statement after press reports were published that he was still spreading Nazi ideas. Two months ago, the issue was raised in Parliament and Education Minister Piffl ordered a disciplinary investigation, the result of which was still pending.
