A request that Mayor Seitz abolish the decree promulgated some time ago against Galician Jews, referring to the decree as anti-social and anti-democratic, is contained in a memorandum submitted to the Mayor by a delegation of Jewish Councillors. The delegation which was headed by M. Plaschkes, was well received by the Mayor who promised mitigation of the expulsion practices. Included also in the memorandum were requests for citizenship for every applicant without a prison record, allow interest rate for credits from the Viennese Municipal Loan Society for purchasers and industrialists.
