Vigilants Chartered to Fight Klan, National Prominent Men to Obtain State Laws Against Hooded Organi

The enactment of laws to prevent the wearing of masks and hoods and to provide for the punishment of those who participate in mob violence is the purpose of a countrywide organization, the National Vigilance Association, which

has just been incorporated in Washington to combat the Ku Klux Klan and kindred organizations.

With a national committee composed of men prominent in education, business and professional life, the Vigilance Association has been working quietly for the last several months perfecting its organization to prosecute its campaign.

The organization will seek the cooperation of all military and social organization, enlist the aid of three minute speakers all over the country and broadcast literature by radio in its fight against the “invisible empire”.
